Somehow I missed this information until I got an email from someone.

CREDIT SCORE RULING SUPREMELY DISAPPOINTING

http://redtape.msnbc.com/

Apparently your car insurance company can use your credit score against you by making your insurance rates higher and they don't have to let you know that they are doing it. There is a loophole making it so that they don't have to tell you. Isn't that cute? Somehow they figure that we'd just toss the notice in the trash as junk mail if we got it, anyway, so why bother? I guess I need to call my car insurance company and see if they're dinging me based on my credit score, which I don't even know since I haven't checked it lately.
My husband and I were talking about that they other day. They charge people that can't afford it the higher interest rates, making it harder for them to pay the bill. Interesting how that works. I could afford to pay more on the bills I have if the interest wasn't so blasted high.
What about high fees for driver's training courses? I don't think I had to pay extra (okay, this was around 18 years ago) to get my license if I didn't take a class, just had to wait 6 months longer. The class was $150, I think? I know adding a teen to your insurance can be scary, though! Especially if you have newer cars! OUCH!

I think it all sucks! There should be laws against such things. They call this a free country? yes ,free to get sucked in. When I lived in sc after a hurricane people came to help with ice and bread and charged more than what people could afford to pay normally .Thats help?? Them and the insurance companies.
