If your company really wants to help someone "just starting to put together your agency", why in the world would you require that agent to have five other agents on board in the very beginning?

I really don't undersand that concept.

Hi and thanks for the excellent question. It is really not a requirement on our part, but most carriers like to see a certain amount of volume or a history of personal volume before committing higher commission rates. To save the prospective agency embarrassment of possible reduction in commissions as a result of very low volume and lack of recruiting ability, we and the carriers have agreed that 5 agents shows initiative and effort.

We have the carriers and commission hierarchies and support, but we do not recruit for the agencies.

Although, if someone has a business model with no agents yet, of course we will assist with advice and suggestions on how to put together a strategy.

If I did not answer your question to your satisfaction, please let me know.

Thank you
