Well, the recruiters do run a background check on the applicants before their induction into the company. The background check includes his financial condition, criminal history and so forth. Hence, they may dig up the old felony while running the check. And it may affect your employment depending upon its nature and severity.

Hi there, you need to mention clearly whether you have been convicted or only been charged of the felony. Normally, if you only have been charged of the felony, which have resulted in dismissal and acquittal, you may not experience much trouble in getting the job. However, if you have been convicted and have served the term then you might have dented your employment possibility already.

However, going over the state and the company's guideline may give you a better understanding.

I agree with all.

Whatever you do...do not conceal it. Be up front. Tell them what it is for, what happened, etc.

If a felony won't exclude you from being hired, lying about it at application definitely will.

They will run a back ground check on anything. That will be very hard to get appointed with any carrier. I had a guy who owes 16k to a carrier and they want let him get appointed even if he does as earned. You can work for a company that can pay a override for them while you do all the work.
