No.

The NEED for the product or service is always more than sufficient.

Any tax benefits are simply ancillary.

Does a person buy a home just because they can tax deduct the interest paid?

Do people have babies just so they can claim dependant exemptions?

Do businesses buy equipment only because they can depreciate same?

Do anonymouse posters post and create absurd non-sense threads?

Tax benefits shouldn't be the primary reason for buying insurance. And, except for life and annuity plans, tax advantages are not available with the other form of insurances like- auto and home (well, they may get some relaxation on the amount paid towards the interest of the mortgage).

The client should purchase the policy for his/her insurable interest. The agents use the tax benefit concept to lure the non-interested customers, but if the agent fails to identify the actual need of the client it's a wrong sale.
