How about the contribution of money to his kids' football camp?
Among the items left out of that article is the termination of the investigation of MetLife in CA. And, of course, the $88,000 contribution that company made to his "special fund" was left out as well.

My husband used to drive tractor trailer, he was tag teamed by a few vehicles that used a pretty good accident scam, they made one happen. It took two vehicles, one cut in front of him and the other was beside him forcing him to hit the vehicle in front of him that was part of the scam. The police that showed up on the scene was well aware of what was happening, I guess towards the cities this happens quite a bit.

This made me think that these kind of people are desperate in their lives to get what is not theirs, yet. I have read news about people cutting their fingers in order to get money from the insurance companies. Some use well chairs, crouches, and bandages with addition of make-up just to fool people that they needed help. I'm just sadden with the fact that more people are becoming dependent on money instead of good principles.

Sure, you get a nice bundle, but everyone else picks up the bill. A police officer of all people pulling something like this is disgraceful. Like knig said, if people lose faith in law enforcement, then everyone loses.

Filing a false claim should hold dire punishments, especially if you go as low as getting a wheelchair and claim that you can't walk or eat without a straw. Then do jumping jacks at night before your 3-mile bike ride in the morning. It's a kick in the teeth to those wheelchair-bound from injuries.

Quenlin, do you know someone who actually did this? How can you find a doctor that would even go along with this, surely a good doctor could see right through this or the physical therapist that you should be going to if you are hurt this bad. I just can't see how someone could pull off a scam like this without the help of some professionals like the doctors and such. Wouldn't you need this type of evidence to present for a case, this is major right, so what happens when you are miracously healed, how long does a scam like this last.

Gosh, what people will do for money, this is really disgraceful, I feel for this person, they can not be right in the head.

Heres an answer dreamer, either they're excellent liars, the doctor is in on the scam, or they're bribing him.

Not even doctors are immune to corruption, I doubt a doctor would do something like that out of sheer maliciousness. It's not as though they bring in poor paychecks, but some will probably do as much as they can to bring down the unholy costs of medical school stacked against them.

I would hope that the doctor would value his license more than to get into one of these scams, guess they could fall victim too if the situation was right. I see doctors around here prescribing pain medication to people that are obviously addicted to the medication or are selling it to the addicted. The sad part is they don't care, when you call them as I have in the past about a realitive they just blow you off. I get really mad about this, don't want the pills ending up in my teenagers hands or any of their friends either. One guy goes to the va hospital and sells them, how do they keep doing this and getting away with it. He must really put on a show when he goes there, it is a disgrace to the young men and women who are coming back legitamately hurting. This guys is older and served along time ago, was never in a war, I just don't see how they keep supplying him.

Shameful! Someone who is paid to be a role model and uphold the law. What will the kids think if our police officers are ripping off the system? Its no wonder people who have a real claim fall under suspicion.
