i just need to know what kind of wuestions to ask and what kind of offer should i take? the company prefers not to have attorneys involved but i dont want to get ripped off.

Why do you feel that you might get ripped off?
First of all, you should assess your losses and then see what the adjuster has to offer. Thereafter, you may start negotiating if you feel that their offer is unacceptable.
