CHA-CHING is what it's worth, more than likely...do you have any idea at all of the other party's BI limits?

IMO you should involve the doctor, who is treating the child in the estimation process. He/she may assist you in figuring out the amount that you may incur during the treatment of the child. Also, the future cost of treatment.

You may get reimbursement for the following

  • Doctor's visits and treatment
  • Prescribed drugs
  • Operation expenses
  • Hospitalization expenses
  • Ambulance costs, if the child was carried to the hospital by ambulance.
  • Future medical expenses, if the injury requires long term medication and treatment
  • Pains & sufferings

Preserve all the bills and documents, as these may help you in determining the volume of the claim.

Thanks,
Rupert
