so with all of this geico want to give me $196.48my car is still drivable my only problem is i have no window my door smashed in i cant open it i have to get in from passanger side an the money they are offering is not enough to get me a new door an window or pay for them to fix it what can i do

I don't think they were making Hondas in the 12th century.

A 1996 Honda and is that amount of $196.48 correct? Any vehicle that runs should be worth at least $300.

Tcope, I suppose that Geico is offering $196.48 for the repair works and not as the 'totaled' value.

I agree with T only I feel any vehicle that was running is worth 500...we call it basic transportation....OP how did they determine the value? What did they say the value was? I'm assuming your Honda is in pretty rough shape right? still it's worth more than 196 bucks...they should have told you the ACV then the amount of the salvage value for you to retain it...
