i have a 500 watt electric scooter, which i use as my mode of travel. And with that I could get hit or my scooter could get stolen. It does have two alarms and anti thelf locks. But I think insurance is something i should look in to! Thank you for the help!

You need to contact several agents or companys and get quotes.

Not many companies would offer conventional insurance to electric scooters. You may get a policy but it would read differently from the auto policies.
Contact an independent agent since he can shop around for you. Also, you may check with Progressive, I think they provide coverage to electric scooters.

It will likely be a motor cycle policy. I would think nearly any carrier that sold auto policys would also sell motor cycle policys.

Many a times an electric scooter is used indoor. Therefore, it'd not require coverage that is common for motorcycle. There would be some differences in the coverage terms and benefits ina policy for electric scooter.
