|
|
Geico surchages me addtional $110 on Feb. 6th, 2009 right after my renewal for Feb 1st--Aug 1st. I called the customer service and they explained that "it seems that an error happened on their part that the system didn't generate the correct premium before my purchase, and now with the additional $110 charge is the correct premium". The reason of my surcharge is I just my driver license last year. But I had already provided all my information before my purchase. Why didn't they inform me before my renewal? I am asking the cancel this bill right now. But it seems very hard. They told me they have the right the change my premium.... _________________ Register Now to have your Insurance queries solved. |

Didn't quite get this one-

I do believe that they should have come to an agreement with you prior to such premium-alterations.
Another thing I'd suggest is that you should go through whatever is mentioned in the papers regarding your policy renewal. Also, you should know more about your State insurance guidelines. _________________ Register Now to have your Insurance queries solved. |

The do have the right to increase your premium if it's an across the board increase (everyones goes up)..but they cannot increase it until renewals. _________________ "Never, never be afraid to do what's right, especially if the well being of a person or animal is at stake. | Lori, If you just get your license is your rates higher if you are over 25? I know when you are younger insurance is a lot more expensive. I was wondering if age comes into play when determining the amount on a policy. I did not get mine until 24 and my hubby added me on somehow and the rates stayed the same. |
