My experience with Geico has been pretty good. The ARX all depends on the repair shop. Are all McDonalds the same? Basically yes but market to market you are going to have some tangible differences. Ideally for my car needs I would always take it to my car dealer which I believe does a great job, but my dealer is 50 minutes away in NJ so I would have to pay a toll and possibly get a rental which is just a hassle. The ARX shop I have went to is a mile away and I can take the subway back home.

Now ARX is fast, my car that was keyed all over was repainted in half the time they originally quoted. However the paint job was okay and I saw spots where they got a little pain on my taillight or a drop on my leather seats. Nothing terrible since the paint looked great and most of the car was done well but not the quality I would I have gotten if I just went to the dealer.

I have used other ARX shops and the results where much worse. On my previous car I was rear ended and the bumper was cracked. The repair shop stole a $80 bottle of cologne and after 3 months the paint started to peel. Instead of perusing this I just traded in the car.

Overall ARX is fast and really convenient BUT if you are looking for quality go to a dealer, a job that specializes in your type of car, or a shop that you personally know and trust.
