I have hail damage on my car, but it is still drivable. Its a 1998 and the damage is to the body, windshield, grill, turn signal lengs and side mirror. Can I guy it back from the insurance company if they total it? _________________ Register Now to have your Insurance queries solved. |

Well you may but need to take this matter up with the insurance company. Not always an insurance company would allow the customer to retain the totalled car. The decision should also depend upon the state laws regarding totalled vehicles.
Check with the state highway department what it'd cost you to get the road worthy certificate on the car. If you still find the deal viable then you may think of retaining it.
