I'm getting my first car ( Im 17) and looking at a Toyota Celica gts and an audi 2.8. Would there be a huge difference in insurance costs for the audi since its not as sporty?

There certainly would be a difference in insurance cost for the two cars. However, the insurance rate doesn't depend only upon the model of the car. There are several other factors which would influence the rate of the policy.

However, Lazy, I would suggest you to settle for not so expensive and secured car, since it'd would help you to lower the insurance cost.

Rupert is correct, insurance at your age is expensive but if you are willing to work and determined to have a newer car then you can make that happen.
Alot really does go into determining the price of insurance. The year of the car does play a role, your driving record (any safety courses?),deductible chosen...so as you see there is much to be considered. There are people here who are experts and may be able to give you a rough estimate but I think they may need some more information from you. Usually they will post what information is needed so check back in.

1. What state do you live in?

2. Do you have VIN's for the vehicles?

3. Are you on your parent's policy or on your own?

If you are on your parent's policy would be much better. In any case the toyota will be cheaper as I think it is an older car isn't it?
