Does my car insurance cover damage to my car caused by a loose tire rolling into my lane? I hit the tire after swerving to get out of its way. _________________ Register Now to have your Insurance queries solved. |

| If you have collision coverage, yes. |

Hi tcope, can maintenance be an issue in this case? Can the insurer deny the case stating that the policy holder was negligent and hasn't maintain the car properly? _________________ Register Now to have your Insurance queries solved. |

Now, if the insured's own tire flew off due to poor maintence, or if he had a blow out due to poor maintence his carrier would still pay but not for the tire, but all insuing damage....same for a mechancial failure fire, won't pay for what caused it (if it was a mech failure) but will pay for insuing damages.
OP i'm with tcope if you have collision coverage or UMPD it will be covered. _________________ "Never, never be afraid to do what's right, especially if the well being of a person or animal is at stake. yeah I did misread the OP but it seems that I've asked a question in return that might fit quite well into this context
Thanks lori for clarifying that the insurance company will not deny a claim blaming the maintenance issue. I was worried that they might do it since the owner was negligent with the maintenance. _________________ Register Now to have your Insurance queries solved. |
