There is absolutely coverage available for your kitchen on wheels. Contact an independent insurance agent (there are probably hundreds in your area) and just tell him what you said here. (Captive agents- don't take offense. Your carriers generally won't cover that kind of exposure).

You need to concern yourself with a number of different "exposures" or simply put- things that can happen to you through the operation of your business.

So don't just think about insurance that will cover the truck and your inventory. Liability is a HUGE issue with these operations, so it's important that you thoroughly discuss your liability potential for loss with SEVERAL different agents. Without going into a lot of commercial insurance babble- you need to look for coverage that handles
    * Products and completed operations
    * Personal and advertising injury
    * Bodily injury liability
    * Premises liability
    * Liability and Physical damage coverage on the truck
    * Business interruption coverage/time element losses
    * Inventory coverage

Don't worry about the terms you see above; any agent that knows what he's talking about should be able to explain that gobbledy-gook to you fairly easily. Most commercial packages are put together with most of that stuff as part of the package anyway- you just want to make sure.

Make sure you budget properly for the premium, and depending on what type of services you provide, where you live, the anticipated gross receipts and other factors, the premiums can range widely. So, I'm hesitant to try and give you an idea of cost here, but be prepared- depending on what you consider expensive, the premiums could be kinda spendy. Again, that's a subjective term and different for everyone.

Call a few different agencies and get a good idea of what you're getting into. Good luck with the whole thing!
