Hi,
| Quote: | | he totaled the other car |
Does this mean that he was responsible for causing the accident? if so, then he is responsible for compensating the other driver for his losses on the car, plus any medical expense that he might have incurred. He may also face a lawsuit filed by the other driver. And, yeah, your mother too can be dragged into this mess. _________________ Register Now to have your Insurance queries solved. |

Okay the truck has no insurance. Is your brother insured? or he too was driving without coverage? Please, provide us with more information so that we can offer you better help.

| My son did the same thing hit another car while driving without insurance. The other driver had state farm so they fixed the other drivers car $5467 then state farm sued my son for the amount. My son didnt have it all at one time so a payment plan was set up and hes been paying on it every month for like 5 years. Interest of 12% is on it so the balance seems to never go down!!! Good Luck hope this helps |

| I forgot to ask, too. if your brother is a Minor. My neighbors son crashed her car ( 'Head on' into another car. ) and totaled it. The 'Fault' was the son's. They DID ahve Insurance on the vehicle. The son was a Minor,.........so, his mother had to pay for damages, etc. |

The more correct question is probably 'what couldn't happen?' there are tons of possibilitys. Honey, we need more information....what state did this happen...is brother a minor? does brother live with mom? did mom give him permission to drive? is this vehicle driven uninsured regularly? how long has mom owned the vehicle? does she or brother have any other vehicles that are insured? who's names are on the title of the vehicle? was anyone else in the vehicle with brother? what happened in the accident? is/are there other vehicles and injuries involved? did the police come? was brother arrested? why was this vehicle uninsured? is brother hurt? as you can see as i said we need waaaaaaaaaay more information...hopefully brother was alone, wrecked and totaled the truck without involving anyone or anything else...in that case...mom's out a truck and that's about it unless the police came...if you'd like some help please provide additional information. _________________ "Never, never be afraid to do what's right, especially if the well being of a person or animal is at stake. Katwalkr, its just that sometimes the life take the hard route to teach you the lesson. Thanks to you for sharing your experience with us. I've also heard in some states a judgement can also be attached to your wage and allow the other party to garnish it. It would be the last thing that I would ever want to happen to me. Certainly, a big price to pay to save little on the insurance cost. _________________ Register Now to have your Insurance queries solved. |
