If a 22 years of age (living at home) and had an accident without insurance would the parents be liable?

Nope, UNLESS mom and/or dad are owners or part owners of the vehicle.

IMO if he is still covered under your policy then only the liability issue may affect you. However, if he has got the car title in his name and pays the premium of his auto policy, then any liability issue will be taken care of by his own carrier. But why is he driving without insurance?

Hi JAB, if you have co-signed for his car then you're partially responsible for the losses caused by your son. It'd be wise to get him an insurance before he gets into any trouble. Driving without insurance can attract serious consequences. He may also get his license revoked for not being able to show the proof of financial liability when asked.
