So you park at a public parking lot, your car is damaged and they tell you to get an estimate and they will cut you a check. Are you obligated to have the car repaired?

No> this was answered on another post..you may want to go there and see what all was answered there. I do know that from reading the other post you are not obligated to fix the car.
