I canceled my car insurance because i had to go to another country for a long period but i didn't know that i had to return the plate (i'm a new pa resident). when i came back i found that my tag is suspended for 3 months but i need it to work. i'm thinking to sell it to my friend then buy it from hin after a month so i can be able to drive it.
it's possible to do that?

The selling of the car may not get affected by its suspended status. The selling of the vehicle only affects its title, i.e. it needs to get transferred from the existing owner to the buyer.

Yeah, well the suspended registration may not affect the selling of the vehicle, but the owner isn't permitted to operate the vehicle under the suspended tag. The Pennsylvania laws restrict the owner to drive car he in the roads with the suspended tag.

The state law suggests that the driver may have to pay a fine of $100 to $500 upon conviction if found driving with a suspended registration.

However, just check out with the DMV since there are penalties for failing to return the suspended or revoked license plate to the department in PA. that may also affect the trading of the vehicle as well.
