The easiest way out of your current predicament is to offer them a driver exclusion form.

Well, they cancelled the motorcycle policy. The reason was that my son has a suspended license. Nevermind the fact that he doesn't live with us.

With the auto accident, it's just a matter of time before they cancel that, too.

I guess you were right about being pre-empt. Its high time Lauri that you start looking for another carrier, who would be more reasonable in its manners. I can't believe that the insurer cancelled the plan even after receiving repeated confirmation from you about your son. I empathize with you and, yeah, you have every right to be frustrated.

Good luck with the search. Remember a clean claim record would also help you in getting good rates.

My thought sre there are more fish in the sea. Obviously this insurance company dos not appreciate its customers and I wonder, if after having all that proof and they cncelled my policy, if they were even a good reputable company to begin with.

The company is Safeco. I thought they were reputable and had a good standing. Apparently policies aren't contracts to them.

Luckily, I had already gotten a quote for a new motorcycle policy with another company and was able to get that policy in place before the cancelation took effect -- they gave me 2 weeks from the receipt of notification to cancelation. I have also gone to an independant agent and gotten auto and homeowner quotes, but will have to wait as we have an open claim. Of course, that might not stop Safeco, but at least I'm prepared.
