I'm a trucker (for-hire). Are there any truck insurance discounts that I may avail for my new trucks?

You may avail the business discount for your truck insurance. For this, your business has to remain operative for about 3 years. It would save around 5% of your commercial truck insurance cost.

If you possess a CDL (commercial drivers license), you may save up to 10% off the truck insurance. Apart from this there are a number of other ways to save on your truck insurance costs.

Why don't you increase the deductibles that you have!
Higher deductibles would certainly lower your insurance cost. But, at the same time make sure that you can pay for that deductible when the need arises.

You may choose to make one single payment for the whole truck policy premium. You could be eligible for a 10% discount by paying in full.

One easy way of paying your insurance is through the EFT. Go for an EFT payment plan if you don't intend on paying it in full. A certain amount (what you've agreed) will be deducted out of your checking account for each term. It will save a lot of hassles and also saves your money since more often the check processing fees would be waived off.

There are quite a few carriers who'd offer you multiple policy discounts if you'd cover both your truck as well as your personal car with them.

Such commercial truck coverage solutions are beneficial to both old businesses who might possess a handful of trucks as well as new businesses who use heavy duty trucks for pick up.
