No matter what the people want the money for, they will not receive more than the actual value of the vehicle. They can argue with the insurance company, and I suppose they could try and sue you...but it would cost them a whole lot more than accepting the offer from the insurance company. Are you worried that they might sue you in due course if they are not satisfied with the offer made by your carrier? Well, even in that case your insurer would provide you with legal assistance.
