If I have a coffee cart (expresso, capuccino, latte etc.) and I rent this one for a parties, do I need an Insurance policy?

Thank you,

Everyone could always use insurance.

The choice is yours. What if the rental equipment is damaged... can you afford to pay for it? What if someone sues you because the equipment injured them... could you afford to address the injury?

You need to sit down with an agent and discuss what coverage might be available and the cost.

Did you ever think that it's not worth covering for something like this?

If you find it wise to get it covered (like the way tcope has pointed out the need to get it covered), you should decide about the coverage limit. Do keep us informed about your decision.

Artudechez, you definitely are earning some revenue by renting out the coffee cart, right?

Have you ever thought that you might lose out the income if the machines got damaged?

Now if you care for that income loss you may get insurance to cover such losses.

general liability....... also if someone eats something or drinks something and gets sick

For someone selling business insurance, what type of coverage would cover an incident where someone ate or drank their product and claimed they got sick?

Probably not MP (completed operations exclusion) but GL BI would apply.

You probably qualify for a "Business Owner's Policy" which can be customized to include the various components you require, including Business Auto Coverage -- you have to transport the cart to the location, right?

Find a local broker or agent who does a reasonable amount of commercial insurance.
