My son went to the doctors, and I received all the bills. They were sent to me stating ,refused by insurance. Checked with the company I work for ,and they say he is not covered. My wife and I never removed him from the insurance. They say he was never on it. Wrong. I asked why is he still being covered by dental insurance, they said he is not.He has been to the dentist 2 times this year, and both times insurance coved all or part of cost. The company I work for says according to their records he is not covered for dental or health care. I checked with the dental insurace company and they say he is. I think there was a glitch in the system and he was removed from the medical insurance by mistake. My company records say no to both medical and dental, yet the dental carrier says he is covered.See,their records seem to be flawed. My employer said he is not covered by medical and they will not add him no matter what. Great company hah. What can I do to correct this matter.I even got a letter before all this happened to prove he was going to college. He is 19 years old.I replied and sent it back.I asked why I would get this letter if he "wasn't insured"? They have no clue...Help

Do you have copies of the paperwork you signed for your employer when you enrolled for your medical and dental. You should have had to sign something and mark what kind of coverage you wanted and who you wanted covered. If you don't have copies of it, ask your employer to see the original paperwork as they should have it in your file.

no actual hard copy,my mistake. All done online. And they say it was marked no for medical and no for dental, yet dental coverage goes on with no issues. My son turned 19 in March and I swear their system somehow took him off. I don't know this though. All I know is that the dental carrier is not paying for the dental bills out of the goodness of thier heart. He was covered and somethiing happened for the records to show no coverage. Thanks for your help.....

I also use my company's on-line site to sign up for my medical. Somewhere they should have a hard copy or at least something that they can show you how you marked the on-line form. Even with computers....there is always a trail.

WOW!! Sounds like a bit of a mess!! This actually happened to me, at one time. You said you contacted the Dental carrier, YOURSELVE, and they said your son was covered..but, your employment is saying he is not?! Did you call the Medical Carrier, themselves, and ask them (unless you said this, in your post, OP and I missed it)?

Yes,my COmpany told me to go on-line now and look at my elections. Yes it shows no dental or medical.Yes that is what is there now. That is all they can say to try to prove I declined ins for my son, like I would do that.
And yes I contated the medical carrier and they said he is not covered.Dental carrier says yes, even though company records "now" show no.Just for the record I do not, repeat, do not trust this company at all,and am presently looking to get out.The economy being the way it is I may have to work for these losers for a while.

The dental carrier should have something that shows why they believe your son is covered. Now what they can or will supply you is another matter.

WOW, GUEST!! I'm not sure how you can prove you actually DID sign up for this. I'm really sorry you can't find the information you're looking for. Please correct me if I'm wrong...didn't you say that the Dental Carrier DID cover your son..but, the Medical Carrier did not?

Unfortunately, you may need to get a lawyer to help solve this problem.
