can an adjuster tell your contractor to stay away from your business property if they want a good working relationship with the insurance company in front of other paying insurers? is this slander and defamtation?

ok, first off let's stick to posting only on this thread, and not starting new ones, unless you have a different topic.
You'll need to be more specific for us to help you with an answer...please spell this out better, is this your adjuster on a claim you have? or an adjuster talking to a contractor, but not about a claim? and who are the paying insurers you are talking about? why or what is the reason the adjuster gave to stay away? Need more info to help.

No it's not slander or defemation. That would be a public claim that is, for the most part, baseless, used to defile the reputation of someone or something.
It's perhaps unethical--sounds that way. Then again, proving that all of this took place is another thing.

I see it as the adjuster isn't sayng anything about YOU. He's just telling someone to stay away from your property. I really don't think you have a 'case', if something, like that, was said.
