I'm wondering how much a walk in Clinic would charge if you don't have health insurance?
I'm between jobs and don't have any health insurance don't qualify for Cobra any more.

I believe I have bronchitics. So I am looking for any figure of how much this will cost me to get this fixed. I'm otherwise a very healthy person and haven't been to a doctor in more than 5 years. Thanks

Depends on what clinics are in your area, and how much services you will need. I woud say run a search online for clinics in your area, and make some calls to find the different charges you'll have to face. Good luck, and hope you get health coverage soon.

Not being under the protective net of health insurance is a big mistake. Check with a doctor and know about your health conditions and then get yourself a proper health insurance. Get insurance before it's too late, for no one will insure you, if get branded with a pre-existing condition.

Its better to acquire health insurance if you can afford to. A significant break in coverage will lead to the imposition of a pre-existing condition exclusion period by your employer’s insurance company.

If some other factors are keeping you from acquiring health insurance, you could choose to walk into a retail clinic. They are good for treating minor ailments, and prices range between $19 and $102. Most are open 7 days a week and the service is fast. You can give these clinics a try, and see if they can do anything for your bronchitis.

By they way, do you have HSA?

The guy is unemployed, exhausted his COBRA continuation eligibility, and is probably broke. You don't need to ask this question.

One needs to learn to read posts before commenting. "Between jobs" = "unemployed". There is no "employer's" plan to be concerned about.

Urgent care clinics can range between $25 and $100. If you can't afford that, go to a hospital emergency room, like thousands of people do every day. Federal law known as "EMTALA" requires that you will be triaged, seen, and treated without having to pay or show insurance at the time. You will be billed afterward, and if you don't pay, the bill will be sent to collections after about 90 days.

If you can't pay, you can't pay. And you tell the debt collector to pound sand, and you write a letter to the debt collection agency that says, "Stop contacting me about this debt, except to tell me you are ceasing collection activity, or to notify me that you are enforcing a legal right under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, such as instituting a lawsuit. Other than that, don't call, write, or attempt to contact me in any way. Future contact not permitted by the FDCPA is a civil offense and will be prosecuted in a court of competent jurisdiction."
