My 15 year old son has been diagnosed with Ganser syndrome and the doctor recommended that I take him for counseling sessions regularly while seeking pharmacological help. He is listed under my health policy as a dependant. Will insurance cover counseling fees and medical costs for psychological treatment?

Your healthcare plan should cover the cost of medication and the cost of counseling for up to 26 sessions (that is the general extension of the coverage, insurer policies vary). You might want to call up your insurance company and check if you are covered for Ganser or not.
