You can go for private health insurance. You'll thereby need to search for affordable health insurance plans. Your rates will be affected by the limit of coverage you choose for yourself. Search out from the available market options on your own, or seek help from an insurance agent.

Medicaid can be a good option for you. It's a state-run health program for low-income families.

If a person works for an employer who offers group health insurance, it is highly unlikely that they would qualify for Medicaid, unless they have an unusually large number of dependents and very low income. Please don't offer such poor advice.
