Except in an emergency, you are not eligible for Medicaid -- the age limit is 64. You may enroll in a health insurance plan off the healthcare exchange. You are not eligible for premium tax credits.

oh my, I have insurance so I don't pay much attention, but did they actually put an age limit on the insurance, how is this not discrimination????? If an employer would pull this, the senior would own the company through a law suit.

If you were an insurance agent or broker, you might have a better understanding, Age is not "discriminatory" in insurance, because premiums are statistically based. And I am not aware of many employers who would continue to employ most 83-year-olds.
And besides, the age-64 limit for Medicaid is set by the US Government. Beyond that age, Medicaid for seniors is very limited -- most often associated with the costs of long-term care.
