Can't afford it

If I signed up for insurance through my employer and I can not no longer afford how can I stop it?

Quitting your job is the fastest way. You can also ask to terminate your coverage, but that may not always be possible.

As you can not afford it after quitting your job, then you need to talk to that company and ask for solution.May be they terminate the service and gives you money, but it will be according to their terms and conditions.

Unfortunately the only time(s) you can cancel your plan are either during your open enrollment period, a termination of employment or a life change situation. Not being able to afford it is not considered a life change situation and would not be grounds to cancel the policy with the health insurance carrier. The above applies to all fully insured plans.

Now if your employer has chosen to be self insured they CAN term your policy at any time but they have the final say not the insurance carrier
