If you rear end another vehicle with no damage to your vehicle, do you have to pay a deductible for the repair costs to their vehicle even if you are insured?

No, coverage falls under your Property Damage coverage and there wo'nt be a deductible (commercial polices sometimes have a PD deductible but personal lines polices do not).

No, deductible mustn't apply to this case. Deductibles are normally associated with collision and comprehensive coverage and with some other form of auto coverage. But causing damages to other's property or vehicle will be covered by the liability component of the policy. And typically, liability coverage doesn't have deductibles.

True, we normally associate deductibles with collision and comprehensive coverage but some policies may carry deductibles on the liability coverage also. But it depends very much on the carrier. Just go through your policy document. It must have mentioned the clauses related to deductibles if you have any on your policy.

Personal lines, NO deductible on property damage coverage, if you do not have a commercial policy you wouldn't have a deductible (that I've ever heard of)

Hey MudTruck,
All the answers above are correct, but I think we are all saying it in different ways.
In my state if you hit someone from the rear it is automatically an at-fault accident.
If there were damage to your car it would be covered under "Collision", which usually has a deductible.
The damage to the other car would be covered under "Liability", normally no deductible.
I'm sure you have already reported the accident to your insurance company, but just in case you haven't, you probably should do so.

....only to other vehicle.
