Check all companies thru the better business bureau (on line you can see complaints and resolutions they don't have to be memebers)...ask to see and verify they have insurance etc...call some prior customers.......

good advice Lori, did not know that you could check out the insurance companies there.

Dadummy, stay out of the trees, I agree, no sense in getting hurt, hire someone to trim the trees if you have to.

Ok, My hubby is a contractor and yes it is a good idea to get on the to do list.Work picks up a lot around spring to .So if you want to get a jump on it go ahead and get your estimates and figure out which one you want and schedule it.Thats my advice. Yes, DaDammy I can really see you at your age hanging from a tree branch with one hand and a shovel in the other scooping snow from your carport! lol

erb,
you should be making those calls now, get something lined up so when spring arrives, you will be one of the first on the list.

hummingbird

I just had to work a few days in a row, kills my feet and my back, I baked the residents a couple dozen of home made raisen filled cookies and other sweets for the week. Had a big menu all week long, I cook and freeze for them so they get some good stuff, my hours picked up a little bit. I just live across the street from where I work so, I go in when they need me. Sure ain't in no tree that is for sure, but I am glad you think I have the energy for that, I wish.

Woe, are you running a restuarant or a personal care home? Those residents probably love you. One of their greatests joys would be meal time, bet you make it the best.

I think the reason she does all that she does is that she does enjoy her job, that is very important, you have to like going to work and if you don't and you are stuck in a crappy job, then find one thing good about it and dwell on that, not the negative. If you dwell on the negative you and everyone around you will be miserable.

He did and the supervisor said that she will personally keep track of him so he has help all winter long. She also applied him for foodstamps. He is 78 and his family put him out, it is a sad situation. He is okay now, I got him a part time job, he has his own trailer with a bed, a stand and a table. He says he don't need much, but it is just plain sad. He got his meds from the va. He say he does not really care if he dies, he goes days with out eating. I am trying to work with him to get him back on track. I feel terrible for him but won't let him know that or he would not take my help.
