| Go to nada.com, enter your vehicles info. Then use sites like autotrader to find vehicles similar to yours in your area. This should give you an idea of the acv. |

The estimate of your car would also depend on the condition it was in before the accident apart from mileage, make, year, additional equipment and its present market value. So we need to know all of that before determining its value. _________________ Register Now to have your Insurance queries solved. |

Hi FAMILY02184
You may also check the Kelly Blue Book site for the value of your car. You can compare the value to the depreciated value of your car after the accident. You may also get help from a body shop that you may know. _________________ AmPmInsure Blog |

| Never what you owe or what it will cost you to replace it. So the answer to the problem is GAP insurance! Small amount to pay for peace of mind that pays you the difference between loan/cost and adjusters appraisals, (which start at the bottom, wholesale)The haggling is what the adjuster is paid to do, not to be fair, but to save the insurance company the most they can, they are not your pals! Wife rear ended, she's ok totalled car retail $20,000, offered $15,500 |

If you sold the car to a dealer they would have paid you trade in value. If you sold the care to a person they would have offer slightly above trade in. |

See my sig.
Do you have a question? I'm guessing you think the offer is too low. First, some of those items are mainteance items, they don't increase the value (shocks for example). The bumper... well, it's not going to add much if anything. It's a bumper for a bumper. Even trade in value. In that you think it looks cool or better is not going to increase the value. The car has 100,000 miles on it. This outweighs most any cosmetic thing you could do to the vehicle.
If you think the vehicle is worth more, provide documentation to support this. _________________ - If you did not start the original thread and have a _new_ question... START A NEW THREAD! |
