Do you adopt different sales approaches when selling to female or male customers?

I'm not an Insurance agent, but, I will tell you from 'personal experience' this..........: when I obtained car insurance, one of the agents just assumed I would know nothing about insurance. He actually used the phrase "you being a woman and all.." I will say this much....really ticked me off!!!!!!!!! (My personal advice..of course..) I would take the same approach with both genders. Hope you 'follow' what I mean.
