Welcome mitka to the Forum..

In some specific cases the homeowner's policy provides the coverage for the motorized vehicle. But generally car isn't covered by a standard homeowner's policy. Ask your agent for the details!
Btw what's your state?

I take it, you are in the Insurance Industry?

hi !
You are quite right in guessing my involvement in the insurance industry for quite some time. Ever since I'm dealing with these forums, I'm grossly studying the different traits and trends of insurance queries.

I am not aware of any carriers currently offering ONE policy that will take care of BOTH the home and the auto exposures on one contract. Just about every carrier offers MULTI-POLICY discounts; if you have your car(s) and home with the same company, you will receive additional discounts. The "old" days of one policy to cover both needs is looooong gone. I remember those, they used to exist back in the 1980s but are gone today.

If anyone is aware of a carrier that will consider both exposures within one contract...LET US KNOW, ok? Doubt that that's going to happen :D

Don't know if this counts or not but my homeowners insurance also covers my horse trailer (while it is not being towed-I would assume) I know the tow vehicles insurance covers it while being towed but if a tree falls on it parked in my yard my homeowners will cover it. I did ask for this specifically and my insurance is through farm bureau and my house is technically on a farm so I don't know if this applies to what your asking

Your auto policy would cover your horse trailer (for liability only) while it is in tow...no (or very little like 500 bucks) on the trailer it's self unless you have it insured separately..

but if a tree falls on it parked in my yard my homeowners will cover it

most HO policys will give you a little bit (limit) on a trailer of any kind, like 1k or maybe less now if you have it 'scheduled' or endorced specifically..different story...

Farm bureau insures much more than just farms. They tend to specialize in rural areas, which many times, tends to be farms. They tend to offer some of the best pricing for homes that are over 5 miles from a fire department or nowhere near a fire hydrant.

InsTeacher. As an agent for Farm Bureau in Arizona, FB does offer all your coverage on 1 policy. If you have 3 auto, boat, motorcycle, and a couple trailers, and a house, it would all be combined on 1 policy. Its actually pretty unique in the fact that all your insured items renew all at the same time for easy tracking. And you can be billed for everything on just 1 bill.
