I have been around the insurance business for about 12 year and I am now ready to get in it! Found this site almost by accident and I am glad I did.

Hello,
I have been a captive agent for 13 years with a major national carrier. Prior to that I was an adjuster and manager in auto claims for 7 years.
I actually joined this forum not for insurance information as much, but to find out if I should write about it.
I recently published a website for agents as a tool/checklist on how to market their agency websites online. Even though it's not a commercial site, I purposely left it out of my comments and signature because I don't want to be accused of being a spamming newbie.
If anyone has any personal experience or recommendations for me concerning the topic relative to this site, I would welcome them.
Thanks alot, and I'm looking forward to getting to know the members and the system,

| I am a Califronia Insurance Broker that works with about 120 different companies. One thing that upsets me is when people and companies bash on brokers. YES I CHARGE A BROKER FEE! BUT I can get the lowest rates on the market. So would you rather pay $2000 per year with company 'A' or would you rather pay $1200 for the year with higher coverage, a better rated company, and the broker fee included? Welll I would! So why do people bash broker's such as myself. I KNOW I can save you money...get you higher coverages...and put you with an A+ rated company. I wanted to come on here to expand my marketing, helping others with their insurance questions, and get people in the State of California insured properly. I look foward to getting involved on here and helping people out! |

Hey all - popular place you've got here! I'm slightly embarrassed to have just now found it!
I'm Nick Perry, an independent life and health insurance agent in Atlanta, Georgia. As an independent agent, I work with...well, pretty much everyone, and I do it all from my home office. Before I became an agent, I was a benefits specialist for the largest orthopaedic group in Georgia, meaning I have a view of insurance from three sides of the table: client (hey, I've got insurance, too!), agent, and billing.
Here's hoping I can come up with something intelligent to say once in a while! |
