I'm Carmela and I've been in insurance for 6 years. I live in Texas and have worked here and there around Texas for the past 6 yrs. I have my P&C License and am working on my CIC. I'm always looking for more information and thought I might find some of that here.

Hi Carmela and Welcome to the Best Insurance Community on the internet.
I have spent a lot of time in the great state of Texas myself, in fact, San Antonio is probably my favorite city in the United States. Most people when they think of Texas, they think about desert, not realizing that you can find any type of scenery or landscape somewhere in Texas.
This is a place where you can share your insurance knowledge, help point people in the right direction to help solve an insurance problem, and learn a lot about insurance.

Insurance maze-While I've never worked there, definitely have been to SA many times. Texas is awesome and I love it here. It really is like a whole other country with deserts, plains, hills, valleys and even a beach (though it's nothing like Florida or California!!! haha)
Lakemen-Thanks!!! I hope I can share as much as I hope to learn. It always amazes me how little I know, even after 6 years....always something new and changing!!
Hello Carmela, welcome aboard. I was one of the investigators on the College Life/Americo case that involved 164,000 teachers in Texas.

Glad you found us, and I'm sure you will prove an asset as well as learning a thing or two yourself. I've been at this 21 years and believe me there is always something to learn! Ins is such a muddled mess sometimes, and just when you think you might 'have it' something changes!
I am not an insurance agent, or a licensed underwriter. I just had my hands-on knowledge in insurance way back in college when I took some units for a subject on 'Insurance Law,' but our country has a different set of laws compared to the US. But its patterned after the US model. So, somehow I do have a grasp of it.
Hi everyone, my name is Tom Mendes, I am from Modesto, CA. Glad to see that there is a community to talk about insurance (man that sounds nerdy ) Anyway I was a claims adjuster for a few years with a major national insurance company, I handled BI claims. I learned to hate my job over the years but I always enjoyed working with people, just not in such a negative capacity. I have since moved on and now I own Central Valley Claim Consultants which I run part time to help people through their injury claims.
