I worked for PFP about 6 years ago. One thing about that job is that you better have THICK SKIN. You will deal with constant rejection all day. It is a very hard sell and you are making very little money compared to the money you bring in. One thing I will say is that it is a good way to tone up your selling skills. If you can do this job long term then other sales jobs will not be as difficult.

So, is anybody familiar with the sales manager position? What's a day in the life like? I know base is like $40k, but how attainable are the bonuses? How much of a bonus is the usual?
Any information will be greatly appreciated.

I am presently an employee with a Credit Union in Houston, Texas. I am seriously considering employment with PFP, but I cannot apply, or have my resume accepted because it would be a conflict of interest on their (PFP's) part. I definitely see great potential for myself because I know all of the credit union products, and have an understanding of the credit union "culture". I am somewhat apprehensive about giving up a job I have been on for two years, but I see great great opportunity with PFP. I just need some "food for thought".

I think this comapny is very unethical. They take advantage of poor uneducated people by selling them supplemental insurance they dont need

Run away from this unethical company as fast as you can! They sell people insurance they don't really need. Their main office is in CT, there is a lot of favoritism and turnover the customer service dept. People who try and stop the unethical behavior are repremanded.

Just beware that if you take a position with PFP and you are subject to termination even if you perform at high standards. Managers will cut you loose in a heartbeat if it means saving their own "hides!"

I am interviewing for a position on Monday and these statements tols me a lot about the company and the job. It sounds like something I wold love to do.

I noticed some unethical stuff going on was told to keep quiet about it. I pressed the issue a little and I am now unemployed- (Orange CT headquarters)
