It's become tougher as I pay my insurance premiums under the global downturn. Can you guys really help me figure out the policies that I'm better off without???

We'd need to know what you have first hon.

No... this is why you have an agent.

As mentioned... how can _anyone_ know what policies of yours you don't need... when we don't know what policies you _have_.

I have collision insurance, life insurance for me and my wife (also I have separate coverage for our children) and home owners insurance. Apart from these I have this credit card loss insurance, rental car coverage and flood insurance. Do I need all of these together?

Sounds like those are all pretty much must haves...

What are your deductibles on your collisin and comp coverage on your vehicle? What is your deductible on your HO policy? When you say rental car coverage, you mean that you've added that to your auto policy right? You can see how much the premium is for that..

Why types of life policys do you have?

If you have flood ins. that was probably required right?

What is this credit card loss policy and what does it cost you? Why would you need that?

I'll need to go through the files to be able to tell you what exactly I pay in terms of deductibles for each one of these.
I'd paid the premium for my credit card loss protection a few days back. It was $7.95 a month. It's also true that the rental coverage has been added to my auto policy!

remember on P&C policys the higher the deductible the lower the premium...I'd caution you (anyone) to not reduce your liablility limits...unless they are crazy high...if you want post the state you are in...and the coverages you have, limits and deductibles on your auto policys and we can see what we think...also do you have 'all' of your insurance with one agent/company? or are they scattered about? most carriers apply a decent discount for 'companion policys' or 'multiple policys'...have you 'shopped' your coverage with other carriers at all?

I'd have to see the policy info on this credit card deal...personally I don't see a need for it..nor do I carry it...but that's me..

Hi Hot.. I once had a credit card protection coverage which kept my credit card account frozen for a period of 2 months during which I was unable to pay towards the outstanding amount. I was actually looking for a good job at that point of time and they didn't charge any interest on my balance. Does this coverage offer something similar to you?
