Savings for debt free and happy tomorrow

Hello everyone!

It is really, a wonder how people these days are continuing to be in debts through loans and credit card bills in spite of the increases in their income. It is not because people are unable to pay their bills, or that they do not want to have savings, but it is because that people are accustomed to spending than not spending at all.

The following are the useful savings strategies that will help you have a bright and happy future for you.

Change your way of shopping, purchasing, and saving. Use your own talents and skills, rather than taking the help of a professional. Try doing things, hobbies, and activities that will not involve so much expense.

Minimize the amount you spend on expensive alcoholic drinks and cigarettes, rather use that money on something that is more productive and healthier.

Shopping around, comparing prices in various shops before purchasing anything is one of the best ways to raise your saving, , because it's very likely that the shop beside you is offering it on sale.

Dan.

Welcome to the community :D You have suggested few very basic ways of saving. Really, at times, its quite easy to keep the debt at bay by adopting some simple practices. Most of us fall into the debt trap without even knowing about it. However, if we practice preparing a budget before every month we not only can stay out of debt that way but also can save money. :D

Hi goodwill and Welcome To The Best Insurance Forum Community On The Web!

You present an interesting subject and make some very good suggestions.

Here's how I look at life, finances, and living.

Too many people try to live within their present "means" instead of working hard and smart to make their "means" sufficient enough to allow them to live the way they want to live.

Sometimes it seems like the more we make the more we spend, I have always thought about it like, if you can live like you are making minimum wage for just six months, put the extra money away then you would get a real grip on your finances. If you think about it, you would hopefully be more conservative on your spending, give things a second thought before purchasing and probably not purchase some items at all. I am doing pretty good since christmas about not going over board, I have been clipping the coupons and buying what I can in bulk. I am happy to say that I did not go overboard at christmas either so I came out of that holiday debt free. I have been working hard at this.

One thing that I have noticed that makes a real difference in how I spend is, I go to the bank on payday and pull out an allotted amount of money, when you are spending cash, at least with me, I notice more where every penny goes, I tend to spend less. I am going to continue this practice, it has saved me quite a bit. I don't buy the things that I really don't need if it is cash. I try to make it to the end of the week with the allotted amount and so far I have been successful. So tuck the debit card a way and use some good old fashion cash, see how much further you get and how your spending habits change. Mine definately have.

I try to save as much as I can on everything, I never thought of doing the minimum wage thought, that is not a bad idea. It would take me a while to get my bills down to where I could live like that though. I do the coupons and rebates as I need items, try not to buy or over indulge. I bought my chocolate for valentines day on valentines day and got it for 50% off. There was plenty left to choose from too.
