| I wonder if filing a complaint would even do any good with everyone in the health field so concerned about the bottom line. My family doc is pretty cool. They don't have glass over the window and if you ask to discuss anything in private they take you to a back room. I just hate all the med. costs. I was struggling to pay off all mine. With a couple surgeries and dental they are about two grand but I quit worrying about them. $10 a month is what they get. I have too many other financial woes at this time. |

Very true!
Whenever you get into a hospital, the first thing that they'd ask you about is whether you have a coverage or not. If you have it then the degree of care & attention that you get is quite different. The bills would show up a queue of unassociated expenses mounting up & the number of days you'd be made to stay increasing every passing day!
Thanks,

| Yep...an 'insurable' person DOES get treated differently. It shouldn't be that way. It seems people ALREADY have an 'image' of you..a mond set..(sort to speak) of people with no insurance. Almost...like 'they' are better than you are. Sad to see. |

| It is really disgusting isn't it. The whole topic turns my stomach. I see very good people getting treated badly and why cause they haven't any medical. |

I can truly empathize with hummingbird when she mentions "Even the basic is so expensive it is a choice between feeding the kids and having insurance?"
Many agents and financial planners have been trained to analyze income and expenses and figure out ways how to make their customers afford insurance plans.
A thorough analysis may help customers discover some savings if they modify their spending habits or cut down unnecessary expenses.
Insurance is not only for wealth protection, it is also for wealth creation. There are situations where a customer needs money more than the agent does.
In such instances, the customer can consider becoming insurance agent to create another source of income. _________________ I am an insuranc sales coach for almost 2 decades. | Death and disability benefits premiums paid on loans through the financing company is a horrible deal. Term life insurance rates have been going down not up. |

Unfortunately it is a necessary evil, the company has to protect itself incase something would happen to the person or persons that they are lending the money to.
I have had unemployment insurance on some loans through the finance companies and it has come in handy, paid the bill while I was laid off, that was really helpful, because when you are on unemployment compensation you only get 80% of your wage, that little bit of insurance and paying that bill can easily make up the difference. |

| Thats how we have all our payments except for credit cards. We have then covered to the max in case of disability, unemployment or death. One can never be to sure these days. We do not carry much balance on our cards and only have a couple. To carry the insurance on the credit cards can be fairly expensive so I do not see the sense in having the insurance with such small balances. Why is it that you only get 80% of your wages? Do they send the other 20% in towards taxes or something...never really had to deal with this. |

| I've never had to be on Unemployment before ( I'm pretty Blessed). I'm curious, too. Why only a portion of your wage, do you get paid? |
