Posted: Sat Mar 27, 2010 6:54 am   Post subject: a contractor forged my name on a 9000 check also was able to   the contractor never had to get a signature of the mortgagee to cash 2 party check 35000 first check I signed he deposited with out mortgagee signing. Posted: Mon Mar 29, 2010 4:00 am   Post subject:    Usually checks are mailed to the insured but I have heard of adjusters mailing them to the repairers. You need to let your insurance company know that you never signed the checks so that they can inform their bank and the bank can perform a fraud investigation. This is a criminal matter.
