Allow myself to introduce myself...

So I stumbled across this forum recently and I've already jumped in on a few topics.

I've just realized that it may be kind of rude to not properly introduce myself to the community.

I am an agent, working in a small, primarily P&C agency in Ohio. Been in the industry nine years now, started life sales about two years ago.

I look forward to contributing to this great little community you've all got going here. I must admit though, that I've not done anything like this since back when I was teenager and AOL message boards were a new thing, so I apologize in advance if I inadvertantly violate any forum etiquette.

That said if someone could explain how I put another poster's quote into my reply I'd much appreciate it. I feel silly asking since I'm sure the average 10 year old could probably tell me but alas, I don't seem to have a 10 year old handy.

Cheers all,
Fishman

It's not as straight forward as you may think but still fairly simple.

You need to still copy and paste the section of post that you wish to quote but start the quote with ["quote"] and end with [/"quote"]. Remove all the " from that and it will work (I cannot use the correct code as it tries to quote my message).

Hi Fishman,

It is true that many a times we do come across such opportunities in life & then make the best of it for us as well as for the rest of the world. We, the community members would expect the same from you. Just want you to participate, share your problems with the community members & help them in return.

Thanks,
Plasmahectic

WELCOME! And don't apologize about not understanding the cute little quote box...(upper right corner, looks like a cartoon bubble) next to the ''#'' sign (left of it).... if you mess up after you have posted, see the ''edit'' button in the upper right hand corner of your post? just fix it!
