suing

I just read in the paper where a group of football palers were taken to a church of the coaches by the coach after a game. One of the players a 16 year old player was baptized.I saw this in my home town news paper. The parents are thinking of suing the church or the coach for doing this saying he was co erced into it. What do you think of suing for this reason.People are suing for anything and everything now. My daughter went to church when she was 13 and got baptized without my knowledge.I was hearbroken that i missed out and knew nothing about this till after when SHE told me. But I did not sue nor did I think about it.I do feel like the church should have waited and let me make sure she was doing this in the right spirit but they didn't and I think that was a mistake on their part .She was a minor after all.

The issue the parents have is that school supplied buses were used (with the coach paying for gas) and the principle is a member of the church and was present when the students were taken there. Also, the parents were never told that this was taking place (and the students are under 18 years old). The parents have an issue with this looking like a school function and that they were never told that this was taking place... thereby bypassing their parental rights.
