My friend, Insurance companies would definitely like to testify those facts once -before they would issue a policy & again when a claim is filed. But yeah, its true that by 'insurance company' we mean the physician who's the representative of the carrier whos been hired for your case!
But remember that in no case they would like their money to be dispatched to the wrong end.

Yes, sometimes they do. This specifically done for insurance types like health, disability or critical insurance, since they may use this data for future references. Yes, 'filing a claim' is a scenario where in this thing would come to good help! Hope you also understand that. Starghostie

Hi Mono,

In this age of insurance frauds, we are kin to make sure that a treatment is our money's worth..isn't it ??
Now, that we often get our insurance cards, we are often out of the entire claims process & it gets settled between the carrier & the healthcare body.

But since in the recent times we have quite a countless no. of insurance frauds committed by the Con Artists, hence the carriers have now become clever with their experience over the years. They would not like to lose a big worth of money towards supporting those loses which have merely been posed by the insurance carriers.

Actually, it happens much less than one would think during the process of underwriting and policy acquisition. I have investigated a number of cases where the blood and urine were from two different people.

Blood and urine tests are used mainly to see if the person tests positive for certain diseases or narcotics.

You can get DNA from urine and I don't see why they wouldn't test it if there was an inconsistency or something very unusual, like a 20 year old woman having the hormone levels of a 60 year old man.

wow, like a forensic lab in this thread, DNA, could they not just confirm the identity of the person through license. Are we talking some one living and breathing or are you talking about some one who has passed away?
