Hi Texas, From your post it almost sounds like this will be a parttime business/job/career. If so, you may be better served by calling local independent insurance agents and find out if they would allow you to sell through their agency. That way, you would have little in the way of production requirements and can sell what your husband refers to you. Call several to find out who would offer the best commission split. If you plan on going into the P/C business fulltime, you can also consider joining a "captive" company like Allstate, American Family, etc. Avoid Farmers Insurance, in my opinion. The captive companies would place production requirements on you. The license would P and C, and you would be able to sell auto and home owners. Hope this helps.
Hi I am from Texas and I would like to know about the property and casualty insurance licensing. My husband is urging me to get P/C license, he is in the car business and has easy access to sell insurance to customers and sometimes he also changes them from insurance companies. Is there just a license for selling car insurance or do i need to get the P/C license? and would I need any sponsoring? or should I just call any insurance company once I have my license and let them know I could sell their insurance with customers already on hand.
Hi Gary...I saw your post on ampminsure.org regarding what works marketing-wise. I was wondering what company (ies) do you find best for purchasing internet leads. Also, what kind of rewards/gifts do you give to your current ph's when they refer business to you?
