Does anyone have anything special going on for Valentines day? My kid is more excited about this one than Christmas I think, and I don't know where all this enthusiasm is coming from, LOL. She wants to buy everyone she knows chocolate, don't even know how she has associated chocolate with Valentines Day, must be something on the tube that I am not seeing that she is, hard to tell.
Do you do anything special for valentine's day? Even something small for your kids?
Well of course chocolate for Valentines day everybody knows that ! ha ha...heart shaped boxes FULL of chocolate! that girl is learning early! I like that! _________________ **************************************

I think she has been spending too much time with retired grandma, they get a lot of retail therapy, mostly window shopping, but the girl knows every store in town, LOL. She will say when we pull in a parking lot "grandma comes here" I just have to laugh and think, her and grandma have a lot of time on their hands.
Chocolate and cards, a sweet holiday that is meant for sweethearts but do extend this holiday to friends. A little box of chocolate is a nice way to say hello, thinking about you to a friend.
I remember in grade school, how we would put so much time into those valentines boxes. Usually it would be a shoe box with a slot cut in the top of it. Then you would get the packet of valentines and fill them out for everyone in your class. If you were really lucky there was a mom in the class who loved to bake and would bring in cupcakes for the kids. Always looked forward to that.
It is ok, that she is getting into these holidays, they all seem to get pushed aside by the bigger holiday season, so let us all celebrate and eat chocolate.
Oh god, I remember them too, the shoe boxes and you always hoped to get the special valentine from the boy that you liked in class, LOL. It never came, Oh, well his lose!
Chocolate is on sale right now, I love the look of the Valentine M&M's, I am going to buy them for the kids in the family and give them to them for Valentines day. I think they will like them too. Of course, I will buy myself a bag too. LOL. Got to treat myself!
I see these huge cards in the stores, they are beautiful, but very expensive, I think I will wait till after the holiday and buy a few to put up for next year, when they go to like 75% off, I do it for Christmas, so why not for the other holidays right.
