Remembering back 8 years ago with the big milinium scare, alot of people did not think we would all be here, computers were going to crash, life could not go on as normal.
I know we have a thread for our personal goals, but what about the others in our lives, like the troops in Iraq and other foriegn countries, those suffering from some disease and our loved ones.
Well, we made and look at us, 8 years later, still going strong. For the brand new year I have a few wishes.
1. For the war to end in Iraq and all of our troops to come home. When they do come home, I wish for proper medical and psychological care for them. I wish for peace in their lives on the home front.
2. I wish for cure for some of the most devasting diseases, like cancer and diabetes, hope that we wake up and know the warning signs that we can control in our own lives, like smoking and weight loss.
3. Hope for a really good man show, so I can laugh, while I watch my husband laugh, Comedy of course, none of those chicks that look better than me, producers, you are doing fine with the cartoon types they work!
Oh and by the way producers, get rid of the male enhancement drug commercials, they irritate some of your female audience.
Happy new year to you too good, you must have been up bright and early. So you want to make a list of what wishes we would like to see come true for the new years.
1. I too, wish for the safe return of the troops and the end of the war in Iraq and in the meantime, I hope there is no other wars or conflicts stirring up anywhere else, like north korea, seems there is always something on the back burner. If it isn't too big of a wish for some world peace for a change, less dying of american troops and some safety and security on the homefront. My first husband was in vietnam, one war is enough in one life time, we have now had two, that is surely enough. So, I am with you in hoping for a resolution soon but I wanted to add that I hope nothing else is brewing.
2. I put a goal on the credit forum, that was I hope that I have the time and the means to get a few of my goals accomplished. My main one is to get my house better prepared for winter, next year. I know heck of a thing to think of in the middle of winter, but it is now when I am reminded when my utility bills are through the roof.
Anyway, just thought I would add to your post, that is all I have. Maybe some others will come along and add to this post. I will stop back and see what this post has developed into.
