Incase you are looking for a HAL package you need to pay for its travel insurance coverage at that instant. I would not suggest you opt for that, since you would not get a single penny out of that coverage once you opt out of that package. You could surely wait till the final payment and then get the travel insurance for yourself. It would be of great help, if you could refer to the regular proposals on the boards.
You might even get a chance to share information pertaining to a better policy that you once came across. One of the advisors has even informed me of a policy where you can get all your money back even if you opt out of the package before making your final payment. I feel it sounds okay!

| There are some insurance companies who would cover pre-existing health conditions falling under the non-HAL category. Even a day ahead of your journey you might get covered with a pre-noted heart condition. But this has to ensure that you had procured a travel insurance policy within 14 days of booking. In case you never had any heart related problems and obtained the policy on the day of the final payment you are bound to get the coverage. |

Medical expenses are often covered by the insurance policies along with their tour cancellation coverage. I have a travel insurance policy which covers worth $50000 of my medical expenses. It costs around $100 for a couple.
My friend John and his wife Clara who owns the same policy had booked a cruise on the Queen Mary 2 and then cancelled it later. Once the Queen Mary trip got cancelled they opted for another trip with the Celebrity Summit. John was shocked by a cardiac arrest at a time when he would have been on board had he not cancelled his first trip with Queen Mary. John and Clara had always been the ideal couple to me and my wife in terms of leading a healthy and dignified life. We wondered as to what on earth made it possible for a healthy gentleman like our friend suffer from a severe heart crisis. This incident convinced our heart and mind of the severe consequences we ought to face if we try to evade the smallest payments for the greatest assurances. Our friends got all their money back after abandoning their trip with the Summit cruise.

It does not matter at all from where do i get my insurance.It all depends on your choice and personal experience.If you think a particular firm in with it.You can also search google for more and accurate information.
