Well, its hard to give you any idea about the cost of health coverage without knowing details; age of the applicant, current health status, present status of heath coverage, type of plan and the like.

Further, both group and private health insurance are state regulated. Therefore, the cost of coverage would also vary with the state guidelines.

If you are looking for reasonable health coverage you can check with the Kaiser Family Foundation. But as Jeremy has rightly mentioned without more information its difficult to give better response. Hope the health agents of this community would come to your rescue.

8) This post IS on the line and maybe tippy toes over-the-line.
Sorry?

:D Try "Doctor's Care Plan"

To wit:

So I was sick over the past 10 days or so but I'm on Dr. David Hick's,(AKA Marcus Welby, MD's) Individual Doctors Care Plan. The cost of the plan for a single man is $160 per month. That's what I pay him. I pay MY DOCTOR $160.00 per month whether I need him or not.

MY DOCTOR is an "employee" for ME.

Anyway I got so bad sick with flu systoms last Friday I finaly called the Dr. Hicks at 8:00 PM on Saturday night. I was prompted by the phone system to press 8 to speak to the provider on call, after I pressed 8, Dr. David Hick's,(AKA Marcus Welby, MD) was on the line himself.

I told him my symtoms and how long I've had the problem then in typical Doctor fashion he told me to take 2 Mucinex at night and call him in the mornig,... to meet him at his office the next day on Sunday at 11:00 AM.

I complied and the next day I met him at his office he gave me full medical evaluation. Then precribed Clarithromysin; and Decontaminatethemind SR, PRN (as need) and some cough medicine.

Total charge for phone consultation for Saturday: $00:00

Totat charge for office visit............................: $00:00

Total charge for examination...........................: $00.00

Total charge for all 3 prescripitions...................: $00.00

Non-billed total charges..................................: $00.00

This is the way ALL primary care , non-emergency, routine snifflels, non invassive surgeries and general wellness health care should be provided in the future.

Well I think this insurance would not cheap. Staying in a hospital maybe costs more than 100 $ dollars daily. It may be availabe that you get insurance for it for 50 $ montly.

I am kinda interested in knowing whether this 'doctor's plan' is available everywhere. And, how to negotiate a doctor to participate in such arrangement?

Gray, does doctor's plan cover hospital stay expenses as well?

Any Doctor can contact Dr. Hicks' office for detailed guidance on setting up their own care plan for their customer/clients/human being persons who NEED medical care!

Gary, does doctor's plan cover hospital stay expenses as well?

No. But these are easily paid for EITHER by VERY large high deductible medical insurance plans OR simply work out a re-payment plan with the hospital. They will gladly accept $100 bucks per month until the bill is paid. That's operating expense income to them {pun intended} and an interest FREE payment plan for you.

It's time to get our heads out of our and think for a CHANGE!

WE can do this... POWER to the PEOPLE.

Let's take back America!

By the way, I endorse Golden Rule Health Insurance Company AND Time Insurance Company (Assurant) for medical coverage.
